I would love to hear from you! Sharing Saturday with you.

A Jewel: Dillusional v. Deceived — let’s unpack that for a minute.

The definition of dillusional is “a false belief or judgment about external reality, held despite incontrovertible evidence to the contrary, occurring especially in mental conditions.”

The definition of deceived is “cause someone to believe something that is not true, typically in order to gain some personal advantage” and “fail to admit to oneself that something is true.”

Growing up in incest I was first deceived and than became dillusional. Those are hard words to write but it’s the truth. My parents taught me to deny what they were doing and see it as normal or even love. That somehow God was in their bastardly deeds. I could vaguely see that they were lying to me but I caught their dillusional tales and those lies wove into my inner being. So much so that when I had children I failed to admit to myself that the abuse we were receiving was abuse.

It’s taken me years of dedication to unravel and unweave those spoken misdeeds out of my soul. My heart longed for the truth but my dillusional mind kept with the secrets of the past.

Do yourself a favor and find the courage to stay with the facts of truth. The shortcuts of denial are always the longest route to healing.

A Gem: Love hurts. Then, we stop loving. We stop giving or receiving. No love in. No love out. Think about that? Does that protect us or block us from receiving anything good?

Metaphorical Gunpowder: My mother told me that God orchestrates the bad over our lives to use it for good one day. She’s a liar.

Please comment below by leaving your jewel, a gem or something you keep yourself free from with metaphorical gunpowder.

All love!

We write openly about our very traumatic childhoods. Understanding. Understanding. Unquestionable understanding. That's the message God has for you always!
