Jewels, Gems & Gunpowder
I would love to hear from you! Sharing Saturday with you.
Jewel: It never occurred to me that what you hate, you stay close to. Even if you don’t stay close to the person you hate in proximity, your heart can stay corded to their heart. Embittered we keep those that hurt us bound to us.
I don’t want to be bound to hate. Forgiveness to me is the act of letting that person go. I am letting those persons that hurt me go. They can’t come with me.
That cord of resentment, hate, and spite that held us all together cannot be part of my life. I release myself from it. My future is secure without it.
Gem: Romans 8:28 says, “And we know [with great confidence] that God [who is deeply concerned about us] causes all things to work together [as a plan] for good for those who love God, to those who are called according to His plan and purpose.”
Only God can take the wreckage of my life and make something beautiful.
Metaphorical Gunpowder: I have to remember that all of my stories live in me now but do not define me.
The more I know who I am, the harder it can be to decipher today from yesterday. The tragedies can wreck havoc on my body. My mind can be complicated at times with the painful stories. Ah, but it is my spirit that is free! It helps bring all of me together and reminds me that everything is going to turn out alright.
Leave your jewel, a gem or something you kept yourself free from with metaphorical gunpowder.
