Jewels, Gems & Gunpowder
I would love to hear from you! Sharing Saturday with you.
Jewel: Happiness is not a curse nor is it something we should try to live without. Happiness does exist. It is sometimes our circumstances, sometimes just a gentle afternoon breeze, but happiness does exist. Joy, I think, is a little deeper than happiness but both can coincide. I can be full of joy that I’m away from darkness, but not feel happy about the day.
I think happiness is kind of like a merry heart! I want it even though I know it can come and go. It’s fickle that way but I still like it.
Gem: When the days feel lifeless and there seems to be pervasive darkness around you, when you can finally feel the sunshine, its light is more brilliant than ever.
Metaphorical Gunpowder: I struggle a bit this week to just continue carrying on. My legs felt tired, my hope a little skewed — everything was just a little damp with lack of empathy for myself. I heard a few times from some great men of faith this week: just keep walking, move forward even when you want to stop.
That’s is exactly what I did.
Leave your jewel, a gem or something you kept yourself free from with metaphorical gunpowder.
Reach for the stars this week! If you miss one, you’re still close to the heavens.
Happy Saturday!
