Jewel: I am not the evil I came through. I had to grow up around such hatred, ugliness, jealousy — pure wicked. Murderer, rapist — violence. Chaos was everywhere.

Today I know that none of that past is maintained in my being. Oh, my soul still carries the scars but those wounds did not damage my integrity. Everything that happened to me, happened outside of me. I did not take that evil in.

Gem: I will not accept the guilt-laced sleeping pill that my father wanted to imprison me with. Not my guilt. Not my shame.

I will not hold myself accountable for things that belong to my abusers.

Metaphorical Gunpowder: Say no to GUILT.

I — Imagining their life

L — Lies, Lies, Lies

T — Traitor to yourself
